Why do people believe it is impossible for Middle school relationships to "count"?

We almost always see each other one on one and are very close emotionally and physically we have both had previous relationships which we have learned from. We ,like every couple, have our problems but we work them out together in mature ways, we both talk to each other about our feelings often and can be very open with each other about almost anything. so why is it that it's so impossible for middle schoolers to have a serious relationship? Why can't it be realized that at least some of us know what love means? Is it really so different than other stereotypes and generalizations</p></blockquote><p></p>
