Why do so many differ in their religious beliefs yet foretell the same prophecies?

There are soo many indicators that point to an economic, power and even an actual polar shift of our planet...it's been forewarned by prophets, saints, witches, Indians and scientists alike. Do you wonder how so many knew the future of the planet...where we are today?

Had these prophecies not been made over and over again for several thousand years I'd be impressed. Use some brain cells here. Somwhere on earth isn't there always a flood? Earthquake? Famine? Outbreak of disease? War? Economic hardship? I mean, that's like prophesying tomorrow the earth will rotate. It's not exactly magical.

Yeah. So did nostradamus, right?

Oh yeah, I forgot. With both the bible AND nostradamus, all those things that allegedly "came true" were just RETROFITTED after the fact so that they KINDA looked like they "came true".

Nobody and nothing can predict the future. Never have. Never will.

Most of them were wrong.

I myself can prophecy that the world will end, but guess what -- that's about 5 billion years in the future, when the sun explodes into a super nova.

"Really bad things are going to happen"

"Really bad people are going to do really bad things"

"Bad people will prosper, good people will suffer".

That's not prophecy.

Edit to w r y: The Sun will never go supernova, it's too small.
