Why do some emails in my Rogers Yahoo account keep going to Trash? Even...

...after setting them up in Filters.? For some reason, some emails from known senders (and they are in my contacts as well) keep going directly to Trash or Spam. Even after setting up in Filters for these emails with specific email addresses to go to Inbox. Yes, the Filters option doesn't work. Rogers Yahoo email is messing up. I've noticed this since they upgraded about 4 years ago. Needless to say, this has been going on for a very long time. Rogers says to contact Yahoo. Yahoo says to contact Rogers. Geeez!

Also, every so often, Rogers Yahoo will push ALL emails back to my email client (Outlook for the Mac) on my computer. So I'll get a duplicate of over 800 emails. I've contacted Microsoft, and they say it's not Outlook for Mac, it's the email server. Which is Rogers Yahoo. Neither Rogers or Yahoo has been able to answer this. And I've tried every workaround and tip people have given. The only one that is best, but doesn't fix this issue at all, is to delete as many emails from Rogers Yahoo. "So when it pushes your emails again, you won't get so many". LOL!!!
