So to over compensate for there own insecurities or for the wrong doings they have received based on prejudices they begin to develop their own stereotypical views and biases on others. It makes them feel in control and powerful, which makes them feel better as people and boost their self-esteem. Also some people just think their crap doesn't stink lol.
