We laugh when we are being tickled because it is how our brain perceives the sensation via your nerves in those particular areas. We laugh when told a funny joke because we agree with the humor for which it was intended for, it is a subconscious way of connecting with the joker and agreeing with their joke. We cry when we get hurt physically because of the pain that is perceived by our brain via the nervous system for self preservation. Pain is the feeling that nobody likes, yet it tells us when something is wrong with our body. Emotional pain is also perceived by the brain but is not physically felt through the nervous system due to impart because emotional pain is brought on by circumstance and situations in life, and deals with the emotional part of the brain.
