Why do women complain about not seeing more extensive service in the military?

Like ground support/forces and such and in combat areas. Do they not know what happened to Priv. Jessica Lynch?
 
Some women want equal rights in all area's. It may not be so much as they desire to serve in off-limit positions, but they feel it is unjust to even have off limit jobs in the Military. The only jobs in the Military that are left off limits to females are direct-combat positions and I believe duty on submarines. What happened with the whole Jessica Lynch episode was a tragedy, but Jessica Lynch was a support soldier and what happened should have not happened if her NCO's and her unit had been better trained, and had the proper support. There are many jobs in the Military where females can experience fighting and combat if they wish to do so. There are just some positions that remain strictly male because the people that make the rules feel that it is not currently beneficial to have females hold those occupations.
