because many of their books speak about men intercourse ect.. but never about women and they say it's the same thing.. well I think it's not same thing.. if God intend to give a clear message against this sin.. he should speak clearly in the holy bible and quran.. not to speak about just men.
I am not english speaker.. but I have seen in three religions.. they condemned homosexuality in men but they don't mention lesbianism..

Paul in Romans 1:24-27 particularly mentions lesbianism along with male homosexuality, and he refers to them being punished (by which he probably meant stoning to death).

"Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet."

This illustrates ways in which biblical morality would today be considered as uncompassionate and actually immoral by today's standards. Most moral people these days accept that a person's sexuality is not something to be condemned, as long as partners are consenting - and of an age to consent legally.

There have been some historians that have speculated that the reason why was cultural...female-female affairs aren't going to be a waste of sperm like male-male affairs are and therefore won't be a hindrance to producing children. Also back then we're talking about a very harsh environment where men had to appear all tough in order to survive...homosexuality might have been seen as a weakness. Also female-female relations are less likely to spread disease.

Just shows how much influence the times had on the people who wrote the Bible. Nowadays those verses that condemn homosexuality are considered out of date for those reasons, such as in the Reform Judaism movement.

I think in the old times women had many babies from young age and didn't have time for anything other than babysitting.

Entertainment was a man's thing.

in the bible when it says man, it usually means both male and female, meaning the human race not just men in general. so when he said, a man and a man shouldn't have sexual intercourse with each other he also was referring to the women too.

Why do people continue to reveal their ignorance by asking questions based on incorrect information?

Honestly, do you really think that lesbianism is acceptable over homosexuality? Or is this an attempt to start a fight? Or is it just a straw man? In either case, it is a sad attempt!

Perhaps you should find out what you're talking about before you "Open mouth and insert foot!"

Or have you never heard the expression, "It is better to remain silent and be thought of as a fool, than to open ones mouth and remove all doubts" ?

Because male homosexuality is specifically forbidden. Also, nature should tell most people male homosexuality is perverse because men are inserting something where it does not belong. Women can't do this kind of thing.

The bible also says of an anointed one, "So shall thy sons marry thee," Isaiah 62:5. Now, if same sex marriage is okay for this anointed one, then it should be okay with us. But, how do we get around the law of Moses you point out in your question?

Jesus said that He gives His disciples the authority to loose things on earth, and they are loosed in heaven, Matthew 18:18. So, in this authority, we loose the law of Moses to allow same sexes to marry, so that Isaiah 62:5 can be fulfilled, because Jesus said the scriptures must be fulfilled.

Now, if it's okay for men to marry men, then it's okay for women to marry women.

Does that help?

Actually, in the Quran, the tribe of Prophet Lot were all condemned because they engaged in homosexuality. It didn't say only the men were punished. Lesbianism in no more acceptable in Islam than the homosexuality of men.

Because when these books were written, women were property and chattle, and had to do what their fathers/brothers/husbands told them to do. And, since men wrote these books, and since men usually like to view lesbians and join in, then why would they write it down to be sinful? They would just be denying themselves a pleasure.

You are mistaken. Same gender sex, women or men, is prohibited in the bible. Romans 1.
