I have a 1999 chevrolet corvette c5. It has an automatic trans. For some reason if i turn the car on without letting the beeping stop first and then put it in reverse the car will shut off. As far as I know the car does not have an aftermarket alarm. The car only has 48000 miles so im pretty sure it cant be anything big. Now my question, do corvettes possess some type of anti theft mechanism's so that they are not stolen? is there any way to shut the safety mechanism off?
