why does my best friend talk about cars when we are alone?

im 14 and the other day me and my best friend spent one day without other friends and the rest of the class, but why couldnt he stop talking about cars?
 
Two reasons;

1. He has a crush on you and is trying to make some casual conversation

2. He is really passionate about cars and feels he needs to talk about them 24/7.

Either way you should probably socialise more.
 
Maybe he was nervous, and talked about something familiar to him which he enjoys. He might have been afraid to expand to other conversation not natural to him.
