why does my Bittorrent have such shit download speed?

please help right now its like download speed 5.30 kb.s and upload like 30.87 kb.s and my download takes ages please help me
 
Try torrenting or P2P at off peak times, you will have to check you ISP for information on these times. I'm with BT and they 'throttle' torrenting or P2P download and upload speeds during peak times to reduce stress on their servers. Bittorent and other torrent clients are very bandwidth hungry.
 
Some ISP's limit your download speed when they detect torrent activity.
