Hi, I'm doing a sociology project and I'm trying to gage opinions of random people on certain subject. In my experience, I can recall that boys and girls at a young age (Say, kindergarten through 2nd grade or so.) have crushes on each other, primarily due to the fact that they want to emulate adults. I remember asking a girl to marry me in kindergarten with a plastic ring I got from a vending machine. But once they get into elementary school, boys tend to find love disgusting longer than girls. I remember at the Valentine's dance in like 3rd grade where the girls where hunting the boys down like animals to kiss and dance, while we were running for our lives. (They caught one of my friends and dragged him away kicking and screaming lol. And then of course, by junior high school, sexual maturity usually kicks in for both sexes. So there's my 2 cents, what I'd really like to know what you think: Are girls attracted to boys their entire lives, or do they have a defined sexual latency period as well? Why or why not? Do you think that they simply like to mess with the boys? Any answers or even better, examples, would be appreciated, thanks.
