Why does the Comic Book Industry Lack in Age Appropriate Graphic Novels?

I'm looking for graphic novels that are suitable for all ages but I'm having a hard time. The majority of graphic novels contain profanity, sex, pornographic images, mature language, etc. Scott Pilgrim, Bone, Tintin and Archie comics are the only graphic novels that can be read and enjoyed by all. Are there any similar ones that you know of?
