Why does the Liberal Media always introduce Dem plans as compromises and Repubs...

...plans as starting points? In other words they say Repubs plans must go left and Dems plans are just fine where they are and should not be compromised to the right.
 
Because those reporting are mostly liberals..
 
Because Republican plans are extremist plans. First the Republicans run up the deficit and the debt under Bush, squandering Clinton's surpluses. Then their bad policies crash the economy. Then they fight for tax cut extensions for the rich who now have more of the country’s wealth. Finally, they start yelling and screaming about debt and deficit and blame the Democrats.

Who would pay any serious attention to such blatant hypocrites -- no one sensible. The Democrats are trying to address the issues reasonably while the Republicans are grandstanding. The media is far too kind to the Republicans and always has been.
