Why doesn't the speedometer on my Mazda Mx-6 work?

I have a 93 Mazda Mx-6, and the speedometer doesn't work at all. The needle just stays at 0. What could the problem be, and how do I fix it?

the speedometer cable is broke.

The Speedo cable prolly snapped or is kinked. I had this same issue in my Toyota truck.

it may be electronic so check all fuses and relays
