why don't christians pray to jesus christ?

if jesus christ is GOD according to the christian theology so Jesus is the name of God and he is God because Jehovah is totally off the context of the christianity, I found in christianity, they pray to God in the name of Jesus so jesus isn't God?
 
Christian theology teaches that Jesus is the Son of God,NOT God.However since Jesus now has been given God's power and since He is our Savior,it is perfectly acceptable to direct prayers to Him instead of God.
 
Christians that know what the bible says know that Jesus is NOT God himself but God's son. Jesus said many times that he came down from heaven and that God sent him. Jesus taught us to pray to God just as he did and to worship ONLY God.
