Message: <blockquote data-quote="ccfan22nips" data-source="post: 736554" data-attributes="member: 338941">They wont pick up his option b/cc he is not worth even close to the 20 mil the option is for.  He is a great left fielder, has great numbers, and seems to be able to get away with the most crap in baseball in boston.  He will not get traded this season b/c no one will want to pay him what he will be earning.  I dont know how you can say he is a good left fielder.  In the last 10 years, the three worst plays i have ever seen came from him.  When he dove to  cut off the  ball 10 feet from the center fielder. then continued to make it a 3 man cut-off(classic) or how about a few weeks ago when he is rolling around on the ground and the ball is underneath him??  He has made a few good plays, but hey, even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.  Manny deserves to be a DH</blockquote>
