Why have they been airing old episodes of Gossip Girl?

Every Monday I look forward to watching Gossip Girl but they have been playing repeats for about a month now. A spoiler said that they would start airing new episodes March 2 or March 9, but today is March 9 and it was still an old episode. Does anyone know the reason why new Gossip Girl episodes have not been airing?
 
the show is on break like all there other shows it will be back next monday.
