He thinks that everyone is laughing with him, but instead they all just ignore him completely - There's no laughing at all, just ignoring. He swears a lot and is 'loud', but nobody hears him. If we were still in high school, I'm pretty sure he'd be Emo or Goth; He's so old now that he can't go down that path, so now he's a loud bell-end that nobody likes.
