Why is death the cut-off point for trusting Christ? Why is it too late when we

die? Why can't we change our? mind after we are dead? Is this a stupid question? I mean; is it because our "mind" dies when our soul leaves our body and we need it to make a decision? Or is it something else?

Not all sin condemns you to hell. Only serious sin. These are sins that can be committed only if you are firmly convinced that God is so horrible to you that there is no way you could stand being with him for eternity. Because your will is that you not be with God, you will not be.

You do not go to heaven with sin. You will be cleaned of your sin in the "waiting room" to heaven before you enter.

Small sin is to be avoided because it hardens your heart and turns cold your desire for God. Serious sin is a decision to reject God; this kind of sin corrupts you so much that you don't want forgiveness and you don't want God. God respects your free will and separates you from himself.

The fact that you can form the concept that trusting Christ is an important step in life tells me that you are far from serious sin. Follow your conscience, your internal sense of right and wrong, justice and injustice. This will lead you to Christ.

Resolve to avoid the small sins, too. When you stumble pray for forgiveness, not out of fear of punishment, but because God deserves your love and loyalty. Then go on with your life.

Simply because God wanted it that way, and being God, He has the final word on that. Now, as "Deenie" says, we Roman Catholics pray for those who have died. It's not in hopes that they'll change their minds, but it's in hopes that God will be more merciful on those we love who have died. God Bless you.

Good question. Maybe we can change our mind and heart, even after we die.

"Because He loves His children and is just, God provided a way for those in the spirit world to learn about His plan, have faith in Jesus Christ, and repent. Those who choose to accept and follow Jesus Christ will have peace and rest."

Jesus Himself went to preach to the spirits who were in "prison"- not having been able to accept Jesus Christ in this life - 1 Peter 3:18-20.

Because Heaven is the perfect place..... no politicians, no lawyers to plead your case, only good people get to live there. The life you lived is the Judge you made ... don't violate your parole on Earth.

Everyone has enough chances to accept Christ during their Earthly life. Everyone will give an account to God after dying:

So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God. -Romans 14:12

No, i dnt believe it's a stupid quest .the reason i believe tht's the cut off point is bcos God says It's appointed to men once to die thn the judgemnt..it could be bcos tht's where God wanted the cut off point to be nd him speakin it..it became law.Him testin us out here to see if we will/can obey him there .My words will i not break nor alter the thing tht's gone out of my mouth is wht he had spoken.

So the choices u make now will determine wht will happen later.while u live you have pretty much all the time u need to make a choice ,God gives enough time to do so .after tht.. time is up ,something like they say whn u take a test.

p.s Jesus also said tht if u (we)try to save (keep) this life u will lose ur life(the next one)If i want to keep this world nd it's pleasures (sinful ),u can but u will lose the life tht God gives(with it's joys nd pleasures)to u includin heaven
