why is he randomly ignoring me?

Okay so I like this kid and we hung out and when we hung out a few times at his house && he said "oh i wonder where this could go, because i like you." So after a few hours I left his house and now he's like ignoring me for two days so idk what the deal is...why would he say he likes me that night officially say he likes me then ignore me? help here!!
