Why is it that some ministers like to scream at you from the pulpit?

The church and school I grew up in, it wasn't preachin' til the minister was up there screaming mad and almost spittin' on the first few rows in the church.

Why do some churches feel the need to scream and yell? Don't they realize that a lot of people will get turned off by that and end up tuning them out? No one likes getting yelled at.

I've seen churches where they actually teach you, calmly, from the Bible, and you actually learn something.

it's a method of intimidation, to try to get you to do things their way, or believe things the way they do.

They know some are hard to hear the truth so they get loud.
