Why is it that the same people who complain about things being "too PC"...

...are the people who complain about general comments?

When I ask a question that starts with, "Why do conservatives...?" - I am not asking why ALL conservatives do that thing or believe that thing... I am asking why there are conservatives who do.

Same people will complain about this as complain about things being too politically correct in this world.

Jeff: Not my job to eliminate it, and I don't care enough to do so. I think it's amazing, though, that people are such hypocrites.
Texas: Which is pretty much what you just described. I'm not going to be careful how I word things because people MIGHT have a problem with how they're worded.
acyber: I'm not complaining at all; I'm pointing out hypocrisy. They can say what they want; it doesn't bother me. I merely found it amusing enough to point it out.

If you're talking about that questioning attacking your question a few minutes ago, it has nothing to do with PC. The guy had a beef with your comment and called out directly what he though was wrong with it. PC is like having to walk on eggshells and carefully thinking about what you say so that you don't risk the consequences of even slightly offending someone.

You worded your question they way you wanted, which is perfectly fine, however the guy didn't agree and rebutted with his own question, which is perfectly appropriate on a forum like this.

In many ways PC would be against such action, as if to say let it go so that no conflicts arise, or to withhold reaction so that everyone appears to stay happy

Why wouldn't someone who speaks out about a comment they don't agree with also not agree with PC ?
