Why is my blackberry bold 9930s battery life so poor?

I don't know why but towarDs the middle of the day the bttery life would be half full when I havnt used it at all the whole day. I charge my phone overnight (but I don't leave it there when its charged). I also turned my notifs to silent and also closed every browser on the net or some apps running but the life is still really bad I don't know why.....is there any way to make it better? Also I turned my brightness to 10 instead of the regular 100. Just don't know why! Haha and I've also had this phone for almost 6 months only!
 
That's typically a sign that you are spending a LOT of time in locations with very poor coverage and your Crackberry is repeatedly "polling" for cell coverage, so it is TRANSMITTING all that time (which uses much more juice) rather than just receiving...

The only thing you can do is stand nearer the window, LOL!
