Ok, my b/f's car is a 1991 Honda accord with some pretty hefty mileage on it. Nevertheless i want to know if these problems are fixable and how. If you can help it would be appreciated =) Thanks.
#1) The speedometer stops working and the sports engine light flashes (sometimes the check engine light too...) I've been told its the speed sensor, but i'm wondering because it always happens when the sports engine light starts flashing...so i am thinking its more than just the speed sensor. It never fails that the speedometer drops to zero as soon as the sports engine light flashes. I've never seen one happen without the other.
#2) It occasionally stalls out at lights. My b/f says it usually seems to coincide with him having his stereo up really loud. (don't know if that's coincidence or not...)
#3) It SQUEALS when i turn the wheel. Power steering fluid is fine.
#4) The back shocks creak as well, just wanting to know if WD-40 would help that or not.
I knew someone would say to unload it. Thing is, I am interested in whats wrong. Not unloading it. Costly yes, too much, maybe. I just want to know.
Thx Mike, He actually just had his alternator replaced because his battery kept dieing a few weeks ago and now that i think about it it hasn't died since then...
