Why is my brothers internet different than mine?

We are on the same internet provider, but his is a lot slower speed than mine.

Like I am at 56 mphz (or whatever those letters are)

and he is usually at 56, 32, or 11.

like his just randomly slows down
 
im guessing your on a wireless network or you have a splitter on you modem... if you on a wireless network place can depend on your speed and if you have a splitter it can depend how far the cord goes to reach him you may also have an upgradde on yours
