Internet pages take at least 10 minutes to load- if they load at all. Youtube videos? Forget it. My connection is perfectly fine, according to the little icon that says I have full bars. The other computer we have hooked up to the same router is at top speed. But my Dell Inspiron 1525 with Windows Vista will not load a page. Sometimes I get the 'Address Cannot be Found' error, and sometimes I get the 'Network connection reset' error.

This is a brand new laptop that I really do not want to have to take back. I use CCleaner often. The laptop came with Trend-Micro PC-cillin but I uninstalled it for a stupid reason. Now I can't even reinstall that or the one I wanted to use (avast!). Downloads don't finish, videos don't load, pages in general won't load.

I've tried everything I could think of and even researched using another computer but I can't seem to fix it! Please help!

Slow internet happens for various reasons. You might have poor hardware connecting your machine to the wall. Maybe your modem-router is not configured correctly.Depends- when is it exactly slow? is it while surfing the internet, or when running progrmas? either way, you can make it go faster. If your internet is slow, you should scan your computer for viruses and spyware using suitable programs(for example- avast anti virus or spybot). If you still experience the same problem I would advise you to delete the computer after backing it up, and then installing a new copy of Windows. if your problem is with programs running slowly- I can advise you to download this software, which can extremely help- CCleaner.Good Registry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically! Do all these and Perform speed here scanmyspeed.com once it will sounds better ...
