Why is my internet slow when I am surfing, but fast when I do a speedtest?
I have Comcast as my ISP, and a Netgear 802.11g router. When I run speed tests from speedtest.net, I have a download speed of around 9000 kb/s and an upload speed of around 2500kbs, both of which I assume to be rather fast. However, when I go to websites, download files, etc., the speed seems to be much slower than these speed tests would suggest. I go to school in another part of the country, and when I run speed tests from my apartment there I get around 7500kbs, but surfing the internet is MUCH faster. Any help out there?
