Why is my internet still slow even after cleaning?

I used a program called Malwarebytes to clean out my computer of 'infections', yet my internet still seems to be running at the same slow speed. On top of that, I can't have more than two internet windows up without it freezing, and two alone is pushing it! What can I do about that?
