I can remember this happening when I was 16 (2000), when I had a Game Boy advance...not even two years later, there was a Game Boy SP. In 2004, there was the first NDS, 2006, NDS lite, 2008, DSi, not even a year after, there was DSi XL, and now, next year, there is going to be N 3DS...and they ALWAYS change the colour of them too.
WTF? I know it's strange. I have a DSlite and a Gameboy advance, and that's enough for me.
I was thinking if getting a DSi, but, I might wait until next year for the N 3DS. You are right about it being a change like the GBA to NDS.
