why is she mad at me if i didnt start the rumor?

okay so this girl in my school is mad at me over a rumor.my friend melody told me that she was bisexual and i was surprized and also i said whisper cz the girls bf was right behind her and so melody told me the rest of the story and who the girls she liked and weeks go by and i over heard the girls bf talking about how he will never be witha bisexual girl and blah blah blah and my eyes got huge cz i thought of his gf and then i ask my bff whos bisexual and she said she already new and i also ask another but she didnt know eiether so the girl who didnt know spread it around the school and now the girl who i thought was bisexual said that i was fake and stuff for starting the rumor and i said no melody started it cause she told me and then melody lied on me and said i started and now the girl wont talk to me and give me dirty looks so whatereever and now she always have her bf phone so i really cant text him and before he went out with her he went out with me and she even lied on me so me and him got into a fight me and him broke up over it.....sooo.. idk anymore oo yea an also turns out she is bi but shes mad at me and she cussed me out over it
