...each region? Im just a little confused, first off why is there even football teams specifically for each region of Spain like Catalonia or Basque Country like if they're representing different Countries? I mean shouldn't the Spanish National Soccer team just represent Spain itself? But back to my original question, why isn't there a Madrid regional team? I would figure that if there is regional teams for each part of Spain there should be one for Madird.

Spain is a strange place. The best analogy would be Great Brittan. Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and England all have their own teams, although they are not their own countries, they are all part of Great Brittan.

For whatever historical reason(s) they have been given full admittance to FIFA competitions. is not quite the same with Spain. Times in the past Catalonia has been separate, and Basque isn't really a recognized area as much as a culture. Thinks Kurds, they have some in Turkey they have some in Iraq and you could draw a Kurdistan if you wanted to but it would be carving out areas from many already existing nations. Basque also goes back and forth recognizing Spain's authority over them and their lands. Basque doesn't see them as Spanish, and the same goes for Catalonia, they do not see themselves as Spanish they see themselves as Basque and Catalonian.

Madrid does not need a regional team, the Spanish team is Madrid's regional team. The thing is that for whatever reason FIFA has not granted Catalonia or Basque the right to play at the full national level. I imagine it has to do with FIFA politics and probably some corruptions but of all the land known as Spain the team that has Xavi, Fabregas, Torres and the like is the only full member to FIFA.
