Why Movie Studios taking so long to release decent films on Blu-Ray?

When will we see any of these movies on Blu-Ray?
The Godfather
Star Wars
Lord of the Rings
Field of Dreams
The Matrix(already on the dead HD-DVD)
Forrest Gump

Instead we're getting high anticipated releases like Jumper, I Know Who Killed Me, and Fool's Gold.
