Why not pay the bonuses of bankers with monopoly money?

I think most fair-minded people agree that bankers whose banks have just been bailed out with tax-payers money don't deserve to get bonuses, which is effectively a reward for incompetence and greed.

As the bankers have been smart enough to get the bonuses into their contracts, it may be difficult not to pay them a bonus. However, although their contracts will certainly specify that they be paid their cash bonuses in pounds sterling, I am so sure that their contracts will specify pounds sterling in Bank of England money and not Monopoly money! If their contracts don't specify this, it wouldn't lessen the burden on the tax-payer if they received their bonuses in Monopoly money!
