I'm with Troy on this one - GNC is highway robbery. I much prefer Vitamine Shoppe (or online sources for my products - whey protein, creatine monohydrate, JACK3D, blender bottle shakes, etc.) The first post is *kinda* correct. If you eat like a typical american, you're already over eating and protein shakes will not be much of a benefit - and perhaps a negative. However, if you're on a diet or eating a lot of lean meats veggies and low carbs, protein shakes are worth every penny. GNC has more costs for a few reasons: 1. They have discount cards (20%) so they jack up their prices accordingly to maintain profit 2. They are often found in malls, which have high lease-price per sq. foot 3. They have a lot of their own-marketed stuff (basically the same as other products with a GNC label) 4. They employe muscle-bound meat-heads that will hit on your GF if you take her into GNC. best just stick with the named products from another store.
