Even if I thought the Christian God character was real, I still wouldn't worship him....
His behaviour (as described in Biblical mythology), makes him the most evil being imaginable.
I woud rather be tortured forever by goblins (or whatever it is supposed to be) than bow down to an all powerful god, who has allowed so much human suffering and cruelty.
