Why was the man playing Jesus in "The Passion of Christ" struck by Lightning

during the film creation? It was obviously a sign... but of what?
They guy playing Jesus was struck by lightning DURING THE PRODUCTION of the film....

Was God angry a sinful man was playing to role of Jesus? Why did God strike him? Was it some kind of sign?

He wasn't hung on a post at the top of a hill when struck.

Right because actors are always struck by lightning while filming, especially the ones playing Jesus
 
I don't think so. I just think they had bad weather while filming. Lightening bolts can kill you. Gotta stay indoors.
 
Zeus was angry people are giving Jesus too much attention.

Note how no people ever get struck by lightning filming movies about Hercules.
 
Good point! That logic must mean that everyone who has been involved in an accident by lightning or some other natural disaster ..... must have only been because God was angry. Everything is clear now!!!!

yes, it's a sign that charges want to be equalized and will take the shortest paths to do so.

I suppose it couldn't have anything to do with being hung on a post on the top of a hill. Nope, it must be a "sign from God".

Ok, so he was standing under a metal rod. The point is he was in close proximity to something that would attract a lightening bolt. If you stick a metal post out in the middle of a field in a lightening storm, there is a good chance it will be struck. Just replace the post with an umbrella and you have the same basic effect.
 
I think it had something to do with standing on a hill tied to a good conductor during a storm.

The surviving part is the telling part, and if I recall he was struck more than once during the short episode.

I met the man. Very nice.
