I have an iPod Touch 2G MC model 3.1.3 firmware.
Ive had it since last November and I havent had a problem with my iTouch at all.
Its Jailbroken by the program SPIRIT. I've had it jailbroken for over 2 months and it hasnt gave me a problem. and even if I turned it off and then turned it on, my itouch will still be like normal and jailbroken.
But a few days ago my iTouch was low battery and I plugged in a USB (not the original USB that comes with it, and it doesnt have those two buttons on the side) to my Xbox 360 (Like usual) and it didnt say it was charging at all.
So i looked for another USB and I found it (again, not original USB, but this one did have the two buttons on each side) and I plugged it in into my Xbox 360 and to my iTouch.
But still it didnt want to charge, so I tried moving the square part of the USB where it connects to the iPod and it started charging if I left it at the right angle. But if I left it in some other angle it would show as if the battery is fully charged, but its really not.
And ive been doing that for around 4 days now. Then earlier today my iTouch was about to die again so I was going to do that 'angle' charge again but now it doesnt work at all! And now its dead.
I've tried every single USB I have, even the original one that came with my iTouch, but still nothing. Ive connected it to my computer and my Xbox and a wall charger but it still wont charge.
And like all the iTouchs', when its dead and you press the lock button it shows the battery and it tells you to connect it to charge, but I cant cuz it wont charge.
PLEASE HELP!! HELP!! HELP!! MY ITOUCH IS MY COMMUNICATION TO EVERYWHERE!!
HELP!! I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP!! HOPEFULLY ONE OF YOU CAN GIVE ME A SOLUTION TO THIS, PLEASE AND THANK YOU!!
Oh and I forgot to mention that my brother has the EXACT same iTouch as mine. Its like if our ipods were clones, but the only difference is that HIS does charge with all the USB cables and my xbox and computer and mine doesnt. And mine only charges if i charge i in an angle now with its original USB cord.
