Why wont my LG Banter hold a charge?

My phone from US Cellular won't hold a charge any more? Why could this be? I already went and swapped my battery. Could one of the causes be that i let my aunt use my charger and maybe we jammed my charger in her phone? Someone also told me it might be because I over charge my phone.
