Why won't Publisher 2007 print high end shadows?

I have a publisher 2007 document with enhanced metafile pictures of Excel 2007 charts in it. I have several line graphs with dark shadows, but the shadows do not print at kinkos or at home. I also have an area chart that is partially transparent so that the gridlines show through but it prints opaque. What is really odd is that the shadows and transparencies APPEAR in the publisher document, but still do not print.

HELP!
