Why won't the interior lights go off in my '95 Cadillac STS?

I went to school tonight and it was raining really hard, when I got out of class I started up my '95 seville and as soon as I put it in drive the interior lights came on and would not shut off. I got home and kept opening and closing all four doors and the lights still stayed on, and there was no indication of a door ajar.. I finally just pulled the fuses for the interior lamps.. Anyone know what could be causing this?? It didn't happen until tonight, could the rain have had something to do with it?
 
check the adjuster knob that says how bright your lights are. in some cars if you flip it all the way to the brightest point they stay on
