Previous question with some additions. Please answer the question, meaning I want to know explicitly why you think they would do this. Why, if they never had witnessed miracles or the resurrected Jesus, would the apostles have spread the gospel/word of Jesus? They were persecuted for doing so! Many were put in prison or even to death! They all spent the entirety of their lives and all of their soul spreading the word of Christ! Can you think of one reason why these 12 would have done so? And why didn't a single one of them quit? Wouldn't you think that at least one of them would have given up (if it weren't true)? But remember that what separates this from other religions is that the leader, Jesus, said that He would be resurrected as proof of His Godliness. So that means that either He did rise (which proves that He is God) or that He didn't. In which case, why do you think the apostles would spread the word if He didn't? is everyone here stupid.. if He didn't rise from the grave, why would they still believe it? and why would they spend their lives and even die for it if they then knew it wasn't true. basically, He had to rise from the grave in order for them to believe it
