playing divx and other video files Hi,
Please help me figure out what's wrong:
I have winxp with winamp, wmp, and vlc. I also installed ffdshow, which I later uninstalled but the problem remained.
I think this started as soon as I got my computer, but when I play video on any of the players I get a wide vertical stripe towards the left of the screen that sometimes flashes pixels or sometimes just distorts color over that part of the video. This is coupled with a shadow effect of the entire frame in the background.
I uninstalled ffdshow but the problem remains. Any suggestions?
