I just bought brand new LG Dryer (model DLE2516W). After pressing the power button, the LCD display lights up. But the dryer would not start (it does not spin). Prior to the delivery, I ran a 220VAC line from my circuit breaker box with 10 awg 4-wires (orange jacket), 30/20Amp quad-pole breaker (where middle two 30amp poles are used for this Dryer), and 4-wire receptacle (NEMA 14-30R). With a multimeter, the readings are as follows: between the 2 hot wires - 208.6V; between each hot wire to neutral or ground reads 120V; between neutral and ground reads 0V. As for the holes on the receptacle, the 2 slots are wired with hot L1/L2 (red/black) wires, the "L" shape is wired with neutral white wire, and the round hole for ground. Are the two hot (red and black) wires interchangable (or one needs to be on specific side)? Do you think the problem is in my wiring or the dryer itself? The manual does not give a VAC input range. Btw, if anyone happen to own the same LG electric dryer (model DLE2516W) as mine, please reply with voltage reading between the two hot line. This is my first 220VAC project on my first 220V dryer, any helps would be appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
