Will a 94 dodge ram 1500 work in a 96 dodge ram 1500? Both have 318 motor?

If you mean a basic engine swap, then yes. The block and basic components will bolt up to trans etc with no problem. If you want to go full bore swap then you'll need to change the wiring harnesses and computer also.
 
Sorry what i meant to ask was will a 1994 dodge ram 1500 transmission work in a 1996 dodge ram?
