a switch? ? I have a lamps that are operated by touch and also have 3 different light levels, so one touch switches the lamp on dim, another touch, makes it brighter and again a further touch brighter again, touch again and it will switch off. I want to know if I use a timer switch plug if it will work?
 
A time switch does the same thing as unplugging it and plugging it back in. Try that and you have your answer.
