Will emulators for the DS i.e. NesDS work on the DSI?

So I'm getting an R4I Gold card for a friend and he has a DSI. I was wanting to know if emulators that were programmed for the Nintendo DS,(NesDS,SnEmulDS) will they also work on the DSI as well or not. I would appriciate a response from anybody who has knowledge on the matter, Thanks Zach
 
It should work, but maybe it need patch..
you can try download some emulator by google, and see the compatibility
