Will I lose my texts, contacts and data if I sync my iPhone 4 to a new Macbook?

I just got a new Macbook Pro and need to sync my iPhone 4 to it, but I would really rather not lose all my texts, contacts, notes, and calender events etc. from my phone. Will I lose all of this by syncing the phone to a new computer? Or is there a way to get around this?
