I'm going to Australia for anywhere from 6 months to 36 months :O... I just want to your opinions on if my accent will change (currently an American Accents Northern).
I'm pretty susceptible to an altered accent from what i can tell. When I went to the south, I was exposed to the accent, and after about a week I found myself occasionally "slipping" on certain words and saying them with the accent.
If you think my accent will change, how long do you think it will take for it to occur?
Also, How severe do you think the accent will be?
(I do realize that there are a number of factors that effect accent changes, like personality, age ect.)
