Will internet work on a IBM Thinkpad 380XD?

There are no icons in the 'Network Connections' folder. Will buying a wireless adapter make a difference? thanks
 
Yeah, it will. I used the Internet on an 10mhz 80286 with a 20MB hard disk, so your system will bear. Just understand that sites will load very very slowly unless you use an old browser like Netscape 3.04 or stick to a text browser like Lynx. Adding more RAM to go above 32MB will also help. On another note, your machine has no Ethernet or wireless solution. If you want wireless, buy a used Rangelan II or an Orinoco Gold PCMCIA card off Ebay. Both work under Window 95, which is the best operating system for your PC, whereas most new wi-fi cards require Windows 2000 or newer, which might not even install on your computer (they need 64MB of RAM).
