I'm 18 and I was dipping tobacco for about a month. I'm pretty sick of it so I quit a little less than a week ago. I also have type 1 diabetes and I'm seeing my endocrinologist in two days for a checkup. I know they take my blood to check my glucose levels and my A1C, but will they find nicotine? I know at this point remnants will still be in my system, but will their blood test pick up the nicotine or is that a completely different test? It also may be worth mentioning that it's still a childrens office until I go off to college.

They don't have scanners from Star Trek. Each test is very specific, they may be affected by other factors but only in an error of what they are trying to measure. An A1C test will only measure the amount of glucose that the blood cells have been exposed to, unexpected substances may cause the test to be in error but it still only tests for the average glucose the blood cells have been exposed to.

And it's idiotic to be messing with tobacco at any age.
